Made in Pueblo​: Local Food Showcase & Leadership Awards will be a lively evening dedicated to honoring the people and flavors that define our city’s food scene.
This event is an opportunity for Pueblo Food Project to fundraise! Your ticket will go directly to supporting PFP programs like community gardens, cooking & nutrition classes and much more!

EAT - Guests will be treated to tastings from 12 incredible small local food entrepreneurs! Each bringing their own unique flavor to the table. This year you'll taste unique recipes that incorporate our most famous Pueblo Chile. A panel of expert local judges will award the best recipe ​that evening. And one business will take home the People's Choice Award, picked by the audience that ​night. Take a taste of each to be entered for a door prize!

These amazing entrepreneurs will be joining us this year. Ten of which graduated from the Pueblo Food Project Entrepreneur Development Program!

CELEBRATE - Made in Pueblo is more than bites and sips. We will celebrate local leaders. During the event, the Pueblo Food Project will recognize outstanding community members who are transforming Pueblo’s food system and making an impact every day.
Awards Include:
​-Harvest Hero given to an outstanding local farmer dedicated to providing nutritious food the community.
​-Food Access Advocate given to an individual or organization working on the ground to increase food access for our neighbors.
​-Made In Pueblo given to a local small business that utilizes our local produce to make an excellent product
​-People, Planet, Profit Partner given to a business that goes above and beyond to take care of the community
​-Pueblo Food Project Member of the Year given to a coalition member or volunteer that made a significant impact with their passion and dedication

BID - Lucky for you, the fun doesn’t stop there! We will have live music, free local beer and wine, and a silent auction. Bid on beef & pork boxes, egg shares, seedling sets, art, and other local treasures. Each item showcasing an aspect of our vibrant ecosystem of local producers and makers who help our community thrive. This silent auction is sure to impress with uniquely curated items from local businesses, makers, producers, and creatives.

Sun Soil Water Summit Community-Led Conference

Saturday, March 21st - 8:00am-4:00pm  |  $35

Saturday is where inspiration meets action. The Sun Soil Water Community-Led Summit, invites everyone — from local farmers to curious residents — to learn, share, and help shape the future of Pueblo’s food systems.

This year’s theme, “Food Economies & Local Solutions,” gets to the heart of what makes our community powerful: our ability to create change from the ground up. The summit features keynote presentations, dynamic panel discussions, and hands-on breakout sessions, all designed to spark new ideas and partnerships. Attendees will hear directly from people working on the frontlines of local food, finding creative, community-based ways to strengthen our food economy and ensure access for all.

And of course, there will be amazing food. Throughout the day, participants will enjoy delicious, locally inspired meals fueling not just conversation, but connection.
The Pueblo Food Project is committed to making this summit open to everyone. Through a scholarship program, anyone who wants to participate but may not have room in their budget can still join in, ensuring that every voice has a seat at the table.

Youth Experience at Sun Soil Water!

Saturday, March 21st - 8:00am-4:00pm  |  FREE (ages 12-18)

For the first time ever, Sun Soil Water Summit is creating a youth track! Youth ages 12-18 get in free! Just look for the youth experience ticket while checking out!

Exploring Stewardship & Climate Leadership
Are you curious about the environment, food systems, climate action, or how communities take care of the land and water they depend on? The Youth Track offers middle and high school students the opportunity to participate alongside community leaders, land stewards, and organizations during the conference through a flexible, hands-on learning experience focused on stewardship and climate leadership. Youth will engage in keynote sessions, choose from a variety of breakout options, participate in outdoor exploration and skill-building workshops, and collaborate with local partners to turn ideas into action. Designed to elevate youth voice and curiosity, the Youth Track emphasizes exploration, real-world connection, and leadership development. Participants will leave with a Youth Exploring Stewardship Certificate and 7 hours of community service, awarded through ECLIPSE and Colorado Young Leaders.

Maker's Market & Happy Hour with Palmer Land Conservancy

Saturday, March 21st - 4:00pm-7:00pm  |  FREE 

After a day of learning and collaboration, it’s time to relax at the Makers’ Market & Happy Hour, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Here, local makers and organizations will showcase their products and projects, offering attendees a chance to browse, taste, and support local businesses while enjoying a local beer and wine. From fresh produce to handmade goods, it’s a perfect way to discover new favorites. Interested makers and community groups can even apply for a market spot to share their creations and connect directly with neighbors and customers.

Bird Walk and Water Talk Along the Arkansas River

Friday, March 20th - 10:00am-11:30am  |  $20

Whether you're a seasoned birder or a curious nature lover, this guided bird walk promises a unique opportunity to learn about the birds that thrive along the Arkansas River and how the same vital water source provides the local food we love. Come experience the rich history and ecosystem of the Arkansas River Trail in Pueblo as we peek into its beauty hiding in plain sight. Led by Jolene Collins, Community Engagement Manager for Palmer Land Conservancy, and Marla Browne, board member of Arkansas Valley Audubon Society and passionate birder, this walk is an experience you won’t want to miss. Also joining us will be Dr. Andrew Dreelin, Palmer’s Land Stewardship Manager. Andrew studied ornithology at Cornell University and has been obsessed with birds for the past 14 years. Before joining Palmer, he completed his doctoral research on grassland birds and even worked for eBird. Your $20 ticket (KIDS JOIN FREE!) does double duty: it supports the Pueblo Food Project while sharing information about the water that sustains us all. Space is limited. Tispy Trivia with Fountain Creek Watershed District

Come spend a fun evening doing table trivia and learning about Colorado watersheds, the value of our agriculture and they come together to create some amazing our favorite drinks! Enjoy a flight sampler of Colorado based spirits as you play our trivia game! This event is cohosted with Pueblo CSU Extension, Presley’s, The Lunchbox and Fountain Creek Watershed District. Participants must be 21+.

BioBlitz with CSU Extension

Sunday, March 22nd - 10:00am-12:00pm  |  $50

Do you have a passion for the great outdoors? Do you enjoy looking at plants, animals, insects and more when you go for walks? Then this event is for you! Come spend a few hours exploring the areas right next to the Arkansas River where we will explore native plants, bug identification, ecology impacts and so much more. This event is open to all ages but youth under 18 must be with a parent or legal guardian. Closed toed shoes are highly recommended. Youth will get in free!

Succulent Candle Class with Burn Wild

Sunday, March 22nd - 12:00pm-2:00pm  |  $60

Join us for a hands-on succulent garden candle workshop, where you’ll create a one-of-a-kind candle while giving back. You’ll blend a custom fragrance, pour clean-burning organic soy wax, and design with wax succulents and botanicals from our toppers bar to build your own miniature garden candle. Leave with a unique piece that’s ready to display, gift, or enjoy at home. All skill levels are welcome. We’ll provide everything you need. Held at The Ethos, this event is sure to stir up creativity!

Bring an apron, roll up your sleeves and learn the art of pizza in this hands-on class led by a beloved local maker, Vince Gagliano. Using simple ingredients, you’ll mix, knead, and shape fresh dough while learning techniques rooted in our community’s food traditions. Take home your dough to build a your perfect pizza.
