Do you have a passion for the great outdoors? Do you enjoy looking at plants, animals, insects and more when you go for walks? Then this event is for you! Come spend a few hours exploring the areas right next to the Arkansas River where we will explore native plants, bug identification, ecology impacts and so much more. This event is open to all ages but youth under 18 must be with a parent or legal guardian. Closed toed shoes are highly recommended. Youth will get in free!

Directions: Driving directions – Driving East on Highway 96: Once you pass the Goodnight barn on Highway 96 you will take the immediate left hand turn into the following open parking lot. You will meet up with CSU Extension and Sun, Soil, Water staff at the trail entrance right by the parking lot for this activity. You will look for Beth Hayes who will be a in a dark green CSU Extension shirt. This parking lot does require either a day pass from Lake Pueblo or the annual state park pass that can be found through your vehicle registration.
