Edible Landscapes Project

An edible landscape takes grounds that are usually planted with decorative plants and uses the space for growing food instead!  An edible landscape is a lot like a garden; however, is usually in places you wouldn't expect to see food growing. Edible landscapes show the community how easy it can be to grow your own food.  The food that is grown in these public spaces is for anyone and everyone to enjoy! Visit 1 or more of our 4 locations, Sister Cities Plaza, Central Plaza, Mineral Palace Park, and the Pueblo Courthouse!

Central Plaza

Central Plaza edible landscape is located on Main St. near Dee Tacko restaurant! This is our herb garden supporting mostly herd and small crop plants. Watch our Central Plaza video for an introduction to this edible landscape and the project it's self by our awesome coordinator, Monique Marez.

Mineral Palace

Mineral Palace edible landscape is located in the beautiful Mineral Palace Park closest to the corner of Court St. and 15th. St. This landscape will produce larger crop plants like squash, pepper, tomato and more! Meet the master gardeners working on this project in the video below!

Sister Cities Plaza

Sister Cities Plaza edible landscape is located on the Corner of Grand Ave. and Union St. around the fountain at the El Pueblo Museum. This site will produce herbs and larger crops. Learn more about this site from two master gardeners in the video below!
