2021 Sun Soil Water Pitch Competition

The Sun Soil Water Summit Pitch Competition is supported by the Pueblo Food Project and Southern Colorado Innovation Link. The Pitch Competition invites local and state food related business to pitch their ideas to a stellar panel of judges for a chance to win cash prizes, technical assistance, and program scholarships.

Competition Information

All participants in the 2 pitch tracks of the competition will be needed to give a 5-minute pitch in person (at Pueblo Community College) on November 12th, 2021.
5-minute investor pitch, followed by 3 minutes of Q/A from the judges
Presentation with visuals using PowerPoint, pdf, or Google Docs is required.
Companies We're Looking For
Any business can apply if their business model, product and or services relate to food and agriculture systems:
      Consumer Packaged Goods (Food/Beverage)
      Applied Technologies related to food and farming
      Restaurants, Food Retail
      Cottage Industry
      Agricultural Products

We welcome, any companies that are working in related fields, that have a growth strategy, and a defined problem/solution statement should apply to this competition.

Proof of Concept Stage
Prototype – Visual or Physical demonstration of functionality
Definition of customer problem and solution
Requirements: 1 or more Founders that will be working full time on their business within the next 6 months.
Market Validation Stage
Minimum Viable Product has been deployed with a customer base. For some companies this can mean their first 10 paying customers or first 100 beta customers; wherein the product market fit can be shown to investors.
Requirements: 1 or more full time founders
